Hamilton was my home town and Bev & I have lived in Thames and vicinity for 42 years. I graduated from Auckland University with a BE (Civil) degree in 1969. I worked in the field of public infrastructure including positions as Chief Engineer at Thames-Coromandel DC, District Engineer at Hauraki DC, and Chief Executive of the Association of Local Government Engineering NZ (which merged with its Australian sister organisation to become part of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia).
I represented NZ on the Board of the International Federation of Municipal Engineering for 8 years, including 3 years as President.
I have a strong interest in EVs and home solar, and I am doing my best to minimise my carbon footprint!
